New Mural Unveiled in Dundas West

Dundas West is now home to two new murals! Chilean artists Paula Ferrer and Aner Urra together with the producer Rodrigo Ardiles crafted two vibrant new murals with sponsorship from the Lula Music and Arts Centre, in collaboration with residents and visitors during the Dundas West Fest and with the help of students from Alexander/Muir Gladstone Ave Public School. The two projects honour the life of singer-songwriter and activist Violeta Parra and celebrate the contributions of First Nations people and communities with roots in South America to the artistic and cultural life in Dundas West.

The mural located at 1615 Dundas St W (southwest corner of Dundas St W & Brock Ave) is titled "Violeta's Gardens" (Top). The second mural at 1532 Dundas St W, (just east of Brock ave) is titled "3 Sisters" (Bottom). Thank you to the artists and everyone everyone who helped to create this beautiful work of public art!
