The Federal government announced a benefit payment of $2,000 a month for four months for workers who lose their incomes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.     Today the province introduced further restrictions on non-essential businesses and their need to close for 14 days.  I joined with Mayor John Tory in announcing that Toronto Community Housing is introducing measures to assist tenants through this difficult time and we encouraged other landlords, private and non-profit, to do the same.
