Our office has been in frequent communication with the operator of the Dufferin Grove Farmers’ Market, which was affected by the provincial shut-down of non-essential businesses. I am happy to share that they have shifted their efforts to provide their local, fresh and nutritious whole foods through a new website.
They have formed a partnership with the community-minded people at St. Anne's Church, and will be using their Parish Hall on Thursdays as a drop-off and distribution depot. Farmers and vendors will bring their pre-ordered, pre-paid, pre-packed products to the Hall, and a small team will assemble orders for customers to pick up during the afternoon. Customers will be assigned times to come, to keep the number of people on-site low, and social distancing will be maintained.
