College Promenade BIA - Call for Art Proposals

College Promenade BIA - Call for Art Proposals
Art, diversity, multiculturalism and community are some of the significant elements that make Toronto unique. 2021 has been dedicated as the Year of Public Art, kicking off the City's new 10-Year of Public Art Strategy, signalling Toronto's renewed commitment to public art.

The College Promenade BIA has received a grant of $8000 to create a public art installation in our neighbourhood (our boundaries are along College Street between Havelock St and Shaw St).

Their vision is to see art installations with a sound or light component on some of our tree grates located on the north side of the street. They would like to see them activated as people walk by, perhaps giving positive messages or affirmations. The tree grates DO have electrical access, so there is an opportunity to use it if needed.
